on inspiration

So thanks to Lady Crump and the multi-skilled Mr K I have a copy of The Happies' funtastic free album.
listening to it fills me with the desire to write catchy melodies and play guitar more.
yay.
Such wonderful lines like "in space you fall gently away" just make we warm all over... i want to sing pretty like them.

Wednesday

the architects are in the ceiling

wow.
What a great Saturday evening. The Lions SMASHED the bombers. Johnno Brown showed everyone that he is more than just an angry young man.
Then, we caught Architecture in Helsinki at the very spanky new Northcote Social Club.

AIH were amazing. They have definately grown in stature, attitude, and presence. Who once looked like a bunch of nervous kids playing pretty pop songs are now a very tidy looking unit of pop. They have an amazing confidence in their songs, and they never disappoint with the varietal changes to songs. Their on-stage navigations and interactions are smooth and comfortable, and, as always, the pop is sweet.

And the venue, wow. almost the perfect size room for my mind. not too big, not too small, a nicely sized+elevated stage, and a good PA. oh, and did I mention, the SMOKE FREE status is brilliant.

Anywho, it was a grand evening, and AIH finished it off brilliantly with an encore performance of Roxy Music's 'Love is the drug'.

All in all, it was great... yay.
