Wednesday

fear and shame

fear: i had a job interview this morning with the Chief Information Officer of Southern Health. They are looking for a new team member for the Clinical Information Services department. Lots of spreadsheets and workflow/statistical reports. I sweated like a hairy old man in a sauna. It was scary. I think I went ok, it was hard to tell. The CIO was clinical and closed, very hard to get any kind of feeling from , and his offsider was happy and chatty and friendly and personable. So it was kinda like good Cop/Bad Cop, but different. I will keep you all informed.

shame: crumpart.blogspot.com, need i say more. crump is a work of art. unstoppable. i am unstartable. i feel slack and lazy.

and: i finished my first exam last night, got a good 100% for it. (Network Admin practical) Next week is a theory exam... I am scared...

Tuesday

hero

film. what a wonderful, and yet mostly abused medium.... so much of 'film' is crap. rubbish, pap.
hero. what a true film. a marvellous journey. a visual feast. magic. beautiful. there' s no need for 'cool' , no need for bloodshed, nor comedy.. just gorgeous cinematography.. wonderful scenes, amazing use of colour... a fantastic journey.

i am no film critic, i don't even like many films.. but hero is an absolute joy to watch... see it now... and see it again later....

Thursday

the end of an era

all good things must come to an end, you have to let them sink with the sun....

i worked and scrimped and saved and bought a Left-Handed 12 String Rickenbacker 330/12, and played it, and enjoyed sounding like the byrds. But now it is gone. Courtesy of the lovely folks at the Music Swap Shop in Carlton.

I'll get a nice(ish) acoustic to replace it.
